Countdown Day #15: Who Ya Gonna Call? Ghostbusters!!

****Afternoon update: I had some problems earlier uploading the pics but they are back up now****

Cocaine Princess here.

On Monday we celebrated Thanksgiving. I have lots to tell but I’ve had a busy week so time didn’t permit me too but I will post the entry next week. Instead I leave you with this:

Back in the spring I blogged a post about the farmers in my community battling it out with big time developers who wish to buy their land. A few days ago while out for my run I spotted some signs posted on a farm property that weren’t there a few days earlier. This of course means another big time developer has taken an interest in wanting this farmer’s land.

Below are the 2 pictures of the signs and that's the closet shot I could get. I didn’t want to risk getting any closer not only because of the NO TRESPASS sign but also because the farmers have quite the temper these days and who can really blame them.

The sign on the right {beside FARMERS FEED CITIES} in white reads: PRIVATE PROPERTY and the one below it: "NO TRESPASSING."

The sign on the right says: THIS IS OUR LAND and beside it: "PRIVATE PROPERTY/NO TRESPASSING."

I was concerned if I did get any closer and seeing how I had my camera they might have been under the impression I worked for the developer. I kept picturing a farmer popping out from the corn field and firing off a warning shot at me.

We're halfway through the month of October and we're T-minus 16 days until The Great Pumpkin Rises.

My lovelies, I present to you Day #15 Halloween themed drinkie:

Friday October 15th, 2010,
"Ghostbusters"

How to Make a Ghostbuster Cocktail for Halloween

"No ghosts in this house, at least not tonight. The Ghostbuster is a fun, simple, neat cocktail that is full of wonderful flavors. The drops of Irish cream create a ghost-like figure in the middle of the glass. A great novelty for Halloween."

INGREDIENTS:
 * 1 oz Peach Schnapps
* 1 oz Melon Liqueur
* 3-5 Drops of Irish Cream Liqueur

PREPARATION:
1. Pour the peach schnapps and melon liqueur into a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Shake well.
3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4. Add the Baileys Irish Cream drop by drop into the center of the drink and DO NOT STIR. Just let the blob sit there and serve immediately.

Tomorrow Drinkie #16.

My loyal and dear readers it's finally Friday! Remember this month has 5 Fridays and today is the 3rd Friday of the month.
