Cocaine Princess here.
Vivienne Westwood presented her collection Red Label collection today. She posted a collage of pictures to show the inspiration behind her A/W 2013-14 collection, one of them included a picture of the 1895 portrait called the "Flaming June" by artist Sir Frederic Leighton. I was a little confused when I saw the invitation with Santa Claus on the cover. If anything Vivienne Westwood is somewhat of an eccentric designer. I've never worn any of her clothes only because they are a bit on the theatrical side.

The show opened with a mulberry and blue striped wool coat and matching socks.
Animal striped wool coat. Check out those crazy socks!
Other pieces from the Red Label Collection:

Fashion Journalist Liz Jones was not impressed with the collection:
"Dame Vivienne Westwood's show featured lots of striped wool blanket coats, mulberry and wine and lame, trademark draping on dresses and skirts, a mullet dress and an asymmetric cardi - and a wrap that looked like a bath towel...."
I didn't really see any inspiration taken from the Flaming June portrait however perhaps this is her interpretation?
Tomorrow Day 4.
