New York Fashion Week: Day 6 & 7

Cocaine Princess here.

Day 6

Out of all the shows to be presented during New York Fashion Week, Betsey Johnson's show proved to be the most entertaining when she lead her models to a 15 minute work-out in the middle of the runway with champagne bottles.

The designer presented her new active year collection, d “BJ Kicks A, which will be another new subset of the Betsey Johnson empire to hit stores.  There's really not to say about this show other than it was colorful and fun. Take a look at the pics:

Day 7

Today Oscar de la Renta presented his collection for Autumn~Winter 2013~14. If you're like me and keep up with the world the fashion then you know Mr. de la Renta invited John Galliano to stay in his studio after Anna Wintour herself suggested that they work together. Unlike Diane von Furstenberg and Valentino who sat in the front row John Galliano remained backstage and out of sight however his appearance on the way to the show caused a stir.

The show opened with a series of colorful wrap coats cinched at the waist and worn over slim knee length skirts. Some of the coats were origami style designed and came with a cloche hat.

Embroidery and hooded capes and jackets worn over skinny pants.

Other pieces included a fit-and-flare black silk organza dress with white floral embroidery.
Next on the runway Oscar de la Renta's evening collections were featured and consisted of colorful fluid floor-length dresses:
