I love Carnival. I love everything about this day. Everyone at least once in their life needs to travel to the sensual city of Rio de Janeiro and experience everything Carnival has to offer.
One of my favorite movies, "Wild Orchid" was filmed in Rio.
An instrumental piece called "Love Theme" by Paradise is truly breathtaking which I have posted below. The music doesn't start until 5:28--- when Carre Otis spots Mickey Rourke so you may want to fast forward unless you want to see a bunch of naked people covered in body glitter and paint celebrating Carnival that is.
Today is also known as Fat Tuesday referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. Nowadays not everyone commits to fasting. Some choose to give something up, for example smoking as a form of penitence. I already started 11 days ago when I gave up Energy Drinks. (If you missed that post, click here. ) The only difference is I plan on giving up for good and not until Easter.
So my Lovelies, are planning to give anything up? If so, what?
