Allow Me To Ask You A Question....

Cocaine Princess here,

Allow me to ask you a question-- If you spotted a clown outside your window in the middle of the night just staring at you, you'd freak out, right? I never liked clowns and that includes Ronald McDonald. I remember when I was a little girl and venturing into the Golden Arches with my mom for a hamburger and fries, there stood the gigantic statue of Ronald right in the middle of the restaurant just creepily staring at everyone, or at least that's how I felt.

So why am I rambling on about clowns? Apparently there's a clown that bears an eerie resemblance to Pennywise, the killer clown from Stephen King’s IT, a man calling himself the “Northampton Clown” is creeping out the town of Northampton, England.

The first video of this disturbed person has him emerging from a lake dressed in his full clown costume. The unnerving character is shown standing knee-deep in water, and waves at the camera while otherwise staying completely still. Click here to see that video.

Pennywise has recently taken to playing games with those who follow his Facebook page, leaving clues about his next appearance. Earlier this week he dropped hints before appearing to dedicated fans on Northampton's Elm Street - a reference to the Nightmare on Elm Street horror films and this past week he appeared at the foot of the town's iconic National Lift Tower. Why the clown is there and what he or she is doing has baffled local residents and social media users around the world. Thousands of people have been following the story on Twitter since the sightings began, using the hashtag #northamptonclown.

According to one report he also knocked on the door of a Northampton woman's house and offered to paint her window sills - despite appearing to have no painting utensils or paint.

The identity of the clown is still a mystery, but according to various reports, it appears to be a prank of some sort, as Boris, the Northampton Clown Catcher, has also surfaced on Facebook and vowed to catch the elusive clown.

What are your thoughts about this? Is it all an elaborate prank? Some type of publicity stunt or is he just a die hard Stephen King fan?
