The resort where I'm vacationing is absolutely magnificent. One word to describe it-- serenity. However, the resort next door is the exact opposite. It's party central where the tequila doesn't stop flowing and the partying doesn't stop. I know this because I stayed at that resort last year and had a damn good time! Guests at the resort I'm in have complete access to their theme parties, which are held in the afternoon & night. All rest & relaxation is good for the mind, body, and soul, which is what this trip for me is about, but....a little partying doesn't hurt either. After all, its all about keeping a good balance. Today's party -The Pink Party!! 💖 And I tell you, it did not disappoint. 1 down, four more parties to go. 🥳 👙

Enjoying lunch with a view when all of a sudden, a huge police & military (pic4) presence machine guns and all comes strolling by on the beach. According to a few of the servers, apparently, a Mexican drug kingpin by the name of "El Mayo" was arrested the other day in Texas along with someone connected to El Chapo. With these latest arrests, that means a power struggle may begin within the surrounding areas. Oy.

July 26/24 My half birthday today!! 🎂

I've been up since around 5am & it was hard falling back asleep since my internal clock is still on East Coast time. Breakie didn't start til 7am, so I headed to Capuchino (24hr Cafe) and started my day with some oj.

At breakie, although they were serving mimosas, I went with the green juice: cucumber, spinach, celery, kale etc. Enjoyed a delicious egg white & avocado toast with fruit & yogurt.

I thought it would be a good idea to take a morning beach walk. It was a good idea til I nearly got swept out in the water. Another hot day here. 🔥 👙

About last night, July 25/24

 The 3-hour time difference meant an early night for me, which also means waking up by 5am. Enjoyed a yummy dinner, and there was a show, but I could barely keep my eyes, so I only watched about 5 minutes before heading off to Dreamland. 😴 The night-time sky was beautiful last night with a warm breeze.
