Today was Day 3 of New York Fashion Week. Alexander Wang who was named design director of the storied French fashion house Balenciaga last year presented his debut collection for Autumn~Winter 2013~14 and the theme--- "50 Shades of Grey," so it's no surprise the colors he selected were grey and black. The song "Eye Of The Tiger" played in the background as models appeared on the runway.
Close up on the fur boxing gloves which explains the soundtrack choice.
I wasn't really feeling this collection. If anything I found it very industrial and too manly.

Day 4: Sunday February 10th
Victoria Beckham presented her collection today at the grand public library.
In true British style there were trays of English Breakfast and Japanese popcorn tea, and the Diptych scent emanating from the candelabras at the venue to provide an elegant tone. Also served, English biscuits.
Victoria and her living little doll, Harper Seven Beckham arrived in New York last week. How adorable is her fur lined coat?!
The invite.
Arriving at the show Victoria's hubby David carrying Baby Harper with a rose in her hand for mummy.
Seated in the front row with David who other than Vogue Editor Anna Wintour wearing those famous shades and of course not smiling.
Critics hailed Victoria's Autumn~Winter 2013-14 collection as a success. She said, "that in her collection notes she was juggling "refined quality within a mannish modernity". "I wanted to translate those shapes into a feminine silhouette, so there is volume in the coats and that tuxedo shape, but turned into a gilet." Her inspiration? A collage board the ex-Spice Girl created:
Her pieces included A-line skirt-shapes:
The pieces were structured, draped and featured belted tuxedo dresses.
For shoes, she put models in lower kitten heels, made in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik that were stranded by snowstorm Nemo in Italy, and delivered to Beckham with only hours to spare.
Mrs. Beckham's clothes were all made in Britain, and this collection's introduction of traditional, British-milled woollens partially came about, she said: "because I am spending a lot more time in England now. And yes, I have become a bit of a material nerd."
Final walk through:
The designer herself at the finale:
While I'm on the subject of the Beckhams, check out David's new advert for H&M. It's a short film directed by Guy Ritchie.
Tomorrow New York Fashion Week Day 5.
