Today, August 16th the "Queen Of Pop" celebrates a birthday. I’ve been lucky enough to see Madonna live in concert many times and truly she is one of a kind. One of the things I love and admire most about her is she isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind and doesn’t care what anyone thinks-- most recently Madonna has been vocal about urging Russian authorities to free three members of the band Pussy Riot, who are on trial for staging a "punk prayer." She said, among other things, that President Vladimir Putin should free the three young female band members from prison and asserted that the Russian Orthodox Church is corrupt.
