All Is Well

Cocaine Princess here.

I had a really weird week.  It was extremely chaotic which left me exhausted to the point where I literally had to drag myself out of bed, and then at night when I got into bed I couldn't fall asleep which as you all know by now is nothing new. Yesterday things finally began to simmer down. All is well and back to normal.........

I'll see you next week.

My loyal and dear readers, it's finally Friday.

Whatever your plans are have a fantastic last weekend of April. ~x

Bunny Love

Cocaine Princess here.

That time of year has arrived where "The Ten Commandments" will be airing non~stop this weekend as well as one of my all time favorites, "It's The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown."

Ahh, Spring Time......The air is now a little bit warmer, the musical notes of birds in the early morning can be heard, flowers are beginning to blossom and how pretty are all the pastel colors that surround us. After the marathon winter we endured it feels as if we're finally coming out of the dark and into the light.

I love Easter and not just because of the chocolate eggs and the tradition of buying new shoes (as well as a new outfit to go along with the shoes) but for what it represents overall, a sense of renewal and the promise of hope.

Wishing you Love, Peace, & Light this Easter Weekend.

My loyal and dear readers, it's finally (Good) Friday.

Whatever your plans are, may it be filled with a basket of chocolate eggs.~x

PS: Those of you who know me are well aware there's no way I can blog an Easter entry without posting these famous bunnies.

Kicking It Old School

Cocaine Princess here.

It's been one long exhausting and grueling

I'm so glad it's the weekend.

RIP, Peaches.

Cocaine Princess here.

"British fashion and TV personality Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof the daughter of world-famous musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates died today at the age of 25. Her death is being treated as sudden and unexpected as officers continue to work to establish the circumstances around her death."

Peaches, was just 11 when her mother, television presenter Paula Yates, died of a heroin overdose at the age of 41 in 2000. She leaves behind a husband, Thomas Cohen, and two sons, 20 month old Astala Dylan Willow and 10 month old Phaedra Bloom Forever who was born on April 24th, the same day as Peaches' late mother, Paula.

Sir Bob Geldof released the following statement:

"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is......."

Peaches also leaves behind her siblings, Fifi Trixibelle Geldof, Pixie Geldof and half-sister, Tiger Lily Hutchence-Geldof.

In her last Twitter message to her 190,000 followers on Sunday, Peaches posted a photograph of her as a baby being held by her mother, with the words, "Me and my mum".

Her last two instagram posts were two extremely adorable videos of her son while she gave him a bath & prepped him for bed.  Click here to watch.  (***The video as well as her instagram page was removed as of yesterday, April 9th)

I often read about Peaches in the fashion and society section of newspapers and magazines. One can't help but feel hurt and shock upon hearing this tragic news.

These instances always make me reflect on how short and fragile life truly is.

RIP, Peaches.

"Oh Jumpin' Jesus Tonight!"

Cocaine Princess here.

Ahh........after 6 looooong months of terrible weather spring has finally sprung for us up here. Hallelujah! The snow has melted and the grass has made an appearance and although it might be all muddy and murky it's a welcome sight. The birdies are chirping melodic melodies as early as 5am and the Canadian Geese have made their way back home. But then again I don't think they ever left.

It no longer becomes pitch black by 4:30pm and there's no longer the risk of your face, ears, nose and eyelashes cracking and falling off upon stepping outside. Best of all there's no longer the need to wear multiple layers of clothing resulting in not being able to put your arms down when you put on your coat.  Actually, I take that back. You know what the best part is? Everyone's' mood has changed dramatically, for the better that is. Emotionally and physically we're all feeling back to ourselves. Ahh...... It feels good.

Unfortunately the same can't be said for the folks in Newfoundland. This past week Mother Nature unleashed one hell of a beast on them by dumping a record 40 centimeters of snow over 2 days. Check out the video of a Newfoundland man stuck in snow that's becomes a YouTube hit worldwide.
