The Yellow Door

Cocaine Princess here.

A few weeks ago I posted an entry--- I don't even know where to begin in regards to the event that occurred yesterday. I literally got home not more than an 1hr ago. I've been up since 5am (Thursday). I'm stressed out, tired & considering the bad relationship I have with the Sandman I'm probably not going to get any sleep tonight either.

And then last week I posted a little bit of a snippet of what was to come:

The night ended with me wearing no bra and eating vending machine food

Allow me to rewind back to the events that led up to that unfortunate moment.

At around 6pm on Thursday I received a phone call from someone requesting to speak to me. I replied to whomever was on the other end that I was indeed that person.

It was the hospital. Sister had been admitted to the ER. My heart literally dropped. It's a terrible feeling that can't be quite put into words when one gets such a phone call. Being sister's next of kin I of course was notified. When I asked the reason I wasn't getting an answer other than she was in the ER and that I needed to get there as soon as possible.

The hospital sister had been admitted to was in the next city town over, approximately a 30 minute drive via the highway and of course as luck would have it that night not only I was sandwiched in between two damn trucks but the weather wasn't the greatest. It was snowing quite heavy so I was driving below the speed limit. I was trying to stay focused on driving but all I could think about was sister. Why was she admitted into the hospital? What happened?! Why wasn't she admitted into our local hospital? I hated the fact that the hospital didn't give me any proper answers.

When I finally arrived I was in parking lot hell. Firstly, the Emergency 30 minute parking area was full so I had no choice but to park in the parking garage tower. You know that long guard stick thingy--> where when you push a button the long guard stick thingy goes up allowing you and your car to go through? Problem number 1: I couldn't reach the damn green button, even after I unbuckled myself. So after opening the driver side door and putting one leg out and stretching my arm to the point where I nearly pulled a muscle I was able to press the button.

Problem 2: As I previously stated, I was in parking lot hell. Every level I entered into said "FULL." Level after level until I reached the very top. If finding a parking spot wasn't bad enough next came finding the damn access door to the lobby. The door that was closet to where I was parked was marked "Employees Only." I tried opening it anyways but the only way to access it was with a key card which obviously I didn't have. At that point I was losing my mind, all I wanted to do was to get to sister asap. Seriously, where the hell was the door?! I spotted an intercom and told who was on the other end my dilemma. I was then asked what section my car was parked in. My response:

"I don't know."

"Miss I can't really help you unless I can pin point where exactly you are."

Holy Hell! I ran back to where my car was--- C23--- and then ran back to the intercom and said:

"I'm parked in C23."

I was instructed to walk over to C30 where I would see a yellow colored door marked "Hospital Entrance." After thanking him I didn't walk but ran to section C30 and saw the yellow door....

To Be Continued.

Happy Valentine's Day

Love is many things, none of them logical.

A heartfelt birthday message from Johnny Cash to his beloved wife June has been voted the greatest love letter of all time.  Check out some of the others that made the list.

1. Johnny Cash wishes wife June Carter Cash a happy 65th birthday (1994)
'We get old and get used to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe sometimes take each other for granted. But once in awhile, like today, I meditate on it and realise how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met.'

2. Winston Churchill tells wife Clementine Churchill of his undying love (1935)
'My darling Clemmie, in your letter from Madras you wrote some words very dear to me, about having enriched your life. I cannot tell you what pleasure this gave me, because I always feel so overwhelmingly in your debt, if there can be accounts in love.'

3.John Keats tells next door neighbour Fanny Brawne he can not live without her. (1819)
'I cannot exist without you - I am forgetful of every thing but seeing you again - my Life seems to stop there - I see no further. You have absorb'd me.'

4. Ernest Hemingway professes his love to Marlene Dietrich (1951)
'I can't say how every time I ever put my arms around you I felt that I was home.'

5. Napoleon Bonaparte sends his love to Josephine de Beauharnais (1796)
'Since I left you, I have been constantly depressed. My happiness is to be near you. Incessantly I live over in my memory your caresses, your tears, your affectionate solicitude. The charms of the incomparable Josephine kindle continually a burning and a glowing flame in my heart.'

**I absolutely love Richard's words--

6.Richard Burton tells Elizabeth Taylor of her beauty (1964)
'My blind eyes are desperately waiting for the sight of you. You don't realize of course, E.B., how fascinatingly beautiful you have always been, and how strangely you have acquired an added and special and dangerous loveliness.'

7.King Henry VIII expresses his love for Anne Boleyn (1527)
'I beg to know expressly your intention touching the love between us. Necessity compels me to obtain this answer, having been more than a year wounded by the dart of love, and not yet sure whether I shall fail or find a place in your affection.'

8. Beethoven pens his love for his 'Immortal Beloved' whose true identity remains a mystery (1812)
'Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, Be calm-love me-today-yesterday-what tearful longings for you-you-you-my life-my all-farewell. Oh continue to love me-never misjudge the most faithful heart of your beloved. Ever thine. Ever mine. Ever ours.'

9. Gerald Ford reminds wife Betty Ford of his and their family's love for her shortly after she was diagnosed with breast cancer (1974)
'No written words can adequately express our deep, deep love. We know how great you are and we, the children and Dad, will try to be as strong as you. Our Faith in you and God will sustain us. Our total love for you is everlasting.'

10. Jimi Hendrix tells his 'little girl' to spread her wings (date unknown)
'Happiness is within you*. so unlock the chains from your heart and let yourself grow like the sweet flower you are*.. I know the answer-Just spread your wings and set yourself FREE'
