Cocaine Princess here.
A few weeks ago I posted an entry--- I don't even know where to begin in regards to the event that occurred yesterday. I literally got home not more than an 1hr ago. I've been up since 5am (Thursday). I'm stressed out, tired & considering the bad relationship I have with the Sandman I'm probably not going to get any sleep tonight either.
And then last week I posted a little bit of a snippet of what was to come:
The night ended with me wearing no bra and eating vending machine food
Allow me to rewind back to the events that led up to that unfortunate moment.
At around 6pm on Thursday I received a phone call from someone requesting to speak to me. I replied to whomever was on the other end that I was indeed that person.
It was the hospital. Sister had been admitted to the ER. My heart literally dropped. It's a terrible feeling that can't be quite put into words when one gets such a phone call. Being sister's next of kin I of course was notified. When I asked the reason I wasn't getting an answer other than she was in the ER and that I needed to get there as soon as possible.
The hospital sister had been admitted to was in the next city town over, approximately a 30 minute drive via the highway and of course as luck would have it that night not only I was sandwiched in between two damn trucks but the weather wasn't the greatest. It was snowing quite heavy so I was driving below the speed limit. I was trying to stay focused on driving but all I could think about was sister. Why was she admitted into the hospital? What happened?! Why wasn't she admitted into our local hospital? I hated the fact that the hospital didn't give me any proper answers.
When I finally arrived I was in parking lot hell. Firstly, the Emergency 30 minute parking area was full so I had no choice but to park in the parking garage tower. You know that long guard stick thingy--> where when you push a button the long guard stick thingy goes up allowing you and your car to go through? Problem number 1: I couldn't reach the damn green button, even after I unbuckled myself. So after opening the driver side door and putting one leg out and stretching my arm to the point where I nearly pulled a muscle I was able to press the button.
Problem 2: As I previously stated, I was in parking lot hell. Every level I entered into said "FULL." Level after level until I reached the very top. If finding a parking spot wasn't bad enough next came finding the damn access door to the lobby. The door that was closet to where I was parked was marked "Employees Only." I tried opening it anyways but the only way to access it was with a key card which obviously I didn't have. At that point I was losing my mind, all I wanted to do was to get to sister asap. Seriously, where the hell was the door?! I spotted an intercom and told who was on the other end my dilemma. I was then asked what section my car was parked in. My response:
"I don't know."
"Miss I can't really help you unless I can pin point where exactly you are."
Holy Hell! I ran back to where my car was--- C23--- and then ran back to the intercom and said:
"I'm parked in C23."
I was instructed to walk over to C30 where I would see a yellow colored door marked "Hospital Entrance." After thanking him I didn't walk but ran to section C30 and saw the yellow door....
To Be Continued.
