"Ain't Nobody...."

Cocaine Princess here.

I know what you're thinking--- Where is the braless & vending machine food post?! She promised this week! I assure you-- in all honesty it'll be up next week.

In the meantime--- I've never been a fan of remakes especially when it comes to music. There's never any comparison to the original however yesterday I heard the remake of Chaka Khan's 80's song, "Ain't Nobody. German Music Producer Felix Jaehn released a Euro remix of the hit song with 15 year old Jasmine Thompson.

Take a listen....

"
Captured effortlessly
That's the way it was.....

And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever...."

Isn't Euro music awesome!

'Mirrors On The Ceiling, The Pink Champagne On Ice....'

Cocaine Princess here.
 "When Words Fail, Music Speaks"

Is it me or has 2016 become a really bad start for musicians?

Last week the world lost David Bowie and today another one has been taken from us, Glenn Frey, co-founder & guitarist for the band, "The Eagles."

I saw "The Eagles" in concert with sissy-poo back in 2008. I admit I didn't only have a great time but also a memorable time.  You can read all about that here.

RIP Glenn Frey. Upon your arrival may there be mirrors on the ceiling & Pink Champagne on ice....

Your music will always live on.

I love this song---

Hmm, perhaps God is forming a super band in heaven? Lemmy, David Bowie, Glen Frey....

BTW---next week you'll finally learn how I ended up braless & eating food out of a vending machine.

The 10 Commandments Of Bowieism

Cocaine Princess here.

"Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." ~Plato

It's been quite a sad week in the entertainment world. In case you've been living under a rock singer David Bowie died of cancer on Sunday, at the age of 69, one day after his birthday.

News of his death came as a shock to both his fans and celebrities as condolences began pouring in on twitter. 4.3 million to be exact.......

"The 10 Commandments of Bowieism" -:

RIP, Ziggy. Your Music Will Live On.

Hmm, we're only 15 days into the New Year and already we've lost 14 celebrities

Ah life......so short & yet so fragile that we must never forget to Live, Love & Laugh.

1st Entry of 2016

Cocaine Princess here.

We're into Day 8 of the New Year and I trust everyone has fully recovered from the holiday season in particular New Year's Eve. For me I found Advil and Red Bull worked quite nicely in my recovery.

Last weekend sister & I went to see Quentin Tarantino's latest film, "The Hateful Eight."

The plot: The story takes place in post Civil War Wyoming. A bounty hunter, known as The Hangman (Kurt Russell) and his prisoner, Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter another bounty hunter, Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) who claims to be a sheriff. Seeking shelter from the blizzard they stop at a rest-stop cabin and are greeted by other strangers. As the storm overtakes the mountainside the eight strangers realize they may not make it out alive as one of them is poisoned asking the question, "whodunnit?"

The mystery-western film was 3 hours long and consisted of 5 chapters with a backstory for each of the 8 strangers. My thoughts on the film?  I really can't say because I fell asleep during Chapter 3 & 4 and woke up midway through Chapter 5. Can you believe that?! And it wasn't because I thought the movie was boring, if anything I was quite interested in the story-line. The last thing I remember is my eyelids began feeling quite heavy just around the time The Hangman agreed to let Major Marquis ride with him and his prisoner on the stagecoach.

Honestly I don't know who I'm more angry at-- sister for not waking me up or the Sandman putting me to sleep?  My God-- of all the stupid places and times for him to put me to sleep it's at the movies! I questioned sister as to why she didn't wake me. Her whispered reply, "I didn't want to disturb you. It's the most amount of sleep you've had all week." What's worse is she refused to tell me what happened in the previous chapters so I had no clue as to what was going on or who these new characters that had appeared on the screen were and because of that I didn't understand the ending.

During the car ride home sister finally explained what occurred during Chapters 3, 4 and the beginning of 5 but still I had questions- Who? What? Why? Well if so and so did that then why did that happen?

Watching "The Hateful Eight" was like picking up a book I've never read before and reading only the first and last chapter.

Other than, "what the hell happened?"  I really can't form an opinion on the film. However I can say the popcorn and the nachos were quite tasty.
