Here we go: Canada vs. USA

They are calling it one of the greatest and most important hockey games to date, given the current political climate: The 4 Nations final: Canada vs. USA

During last week's game, 3 fights erupted, including one that began 9 seconds into the game.

Trump, who just can't keep his mouth shut posted on social media a few hours ago yet again referring to Canada as the 51st state and made another jab at Governor Trudeau.' I'm not sure Trump understands that Canada is a sovereign nation or if he is aware of all the things Canada has done for the US.

The announcer tonight encouraged all fans to be respectful of the national anthem.

Oh, this Texas weather is so moody. It's been chilly & cold here that I had to buy a couple of new pieces. When I mean chilly, I'm talking 'turtleneck weather.' I definitely was not prepared 😫

Had a delicious breakie- swedish style and then burned off those calories shopping at Neiman Marcus 😎

Belated birthday dinner at III Forks last night. The food was delicious, the service was beyond impeccable, and the company was perfect.

Had lunch today at  Norma's Cafe, a Texas Institution for Dallas home cooking, and the food hit the spot! Oh, it was sooooo good.  Opened since 1953, and upon stepping inside, you feel like you traveled back to the 1950s, from the decor to the menu to the pictures on the wall. All that was missing was "Ponyboy"

However, one thing that was unusual was the Madonna playlist over their speakers. 🤔

About last night: Feb 10/25

Unless you were living under a rock, yesterday was Superbowl LIX. I'm not sure if it was anywhere else, but here in the Lone Star State, this year's Superbowl was surrounded by controversy to the point where NFL fans were boycotting the game for the following reasons:

1) The National Anthemn. Apparently, another separate version was sung "Lift Every Voice & Sing" and NFL fans wanted it removed because 'the USA has only one national anthemn only- 'The Star Spangled Banner'
-and there were a few boos at the bar when the song was sung.

2) After 5 years, End Racism that used to be stenciled on the edge of the end zone was removed and replaced with Choose Love. The NFL defended the change due to the current political climate. Some argued that it was because Trump was attending and his decision to end DEI.

3) The game would be rigged in Kansas' favor.
-well, that turned out to be wrong! Good Lord is all I have to say. Ugh 😱

The ads were going for 8mil a spot this year, and my faves:
1) David Beckham and Matt Damon for Stella Atois.
2) Ben Affleck returns in Dun-Kings for Dunkin' Donuts
3)Glen Powell as a rugged Goldilocks for Ram Truck

Even though I'm a Swiftie and KC lost, I had a really great time last night!

BTW, hmm....I wonder what Drake is thinking this morning after Kendrick Lamar's magnificent diss?
