The Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) is one of Canada's oldest corporations. Founded in 1611, HBC started off as a fur trading company, and one of their most iconic pieces is their blankets designed with stripes- red, indigo, green & yellow stripes. According to historians, the colors were a favorite of Queen Anne during her reign (1702-14). The blankets were typically traded to First Nations in exchange for beaver pelts.

Unfortunately, last week, HBC filed for bankruptcy-- unless they find a backer.

Pic#4: As soon as word got out, they might be closed forever, shoppers begin buying the iconic striped blanket. I was lucky to get my hands on one! Those shelves cleared out quickly.

Pic#5: In other news, HBC owns Saks, who acquired Neiman Marcus, creating Saks Global, who decided to close down the Neiman Marcus flagship store located in Dallas after 118 years. The news is not sitting well with Dallas officials and they are fighting to keep the landmark store opening. For the love of fashion, I hope both HBC and the flagship Neiman Marcus are both saved.

Long time readers of my blog will know I have trouble sleeping due to my long standing feud with the Sandman. I still don't know what exactly happened or for that matter what caused the feud but every couple of months, I'll be able to go to sleep without any issues and then wake up refreshed and boom just like that, I won't be able to sleep. It's a damn struggle and I wind up tossing and turning only to find myself watching TV or scrolling through my phone. 

Today was one of those days however, while on Twitter I noticed Blood Moon was trending. Yes, today a total Lunar Eclipse Moon was visible. What is that you ask?

A total lunar eclipse, visible across parts of North America, occurred on March 13-14, 2025, with the Moon entering the Earth's shadow. During totality, the Moon appeared dark red, a phenomenon sometimes called a "blood moon"

I looked out the window and there she was. Time 3:35am.

The beautiful Elizabeth Hurley in a form fitting crystal optical illusion gown by Greek designer, Celia Kritharioti. Her son Damian wore a silver suit completing his mom's look.
