My lovelies, please excuse this short entry. I've had a very busy week and didn't have time to bust out my usual awesome Friday post so instead I leave you with this:
1) 1) My sister enjoys all things English (She refuses to embrace her Latin side. Yeah, I don't understand why either) including reading the English newspapers. Last week she showed me an article that really gave me a good giggle: “A sexy game of strip-Monopoly almost sends one stark-naked player directly to JAIL.” The hilarious article is a must read and the link to it is here.
2) An editorial cartoon appeared in one of the newspapers up here. When my sister came home from teaching I showed it to her. She replied, “one of the teachers cut it out and hung it in the teacher's lounge.”

Two big television events are on this weekend: The season finale to my favorite show TRUE BLOOD airs this Sunday. The episode is titled “Evil Is Going On.” The link to the finale's spoilers are here.
Also airing this Sunday: "2010 MTV Video Music Awards." Deadmou5, who is a wicked DJ has been announced as the in house artist DJ for the show.
Lady Gaga is the artist with the most nominations in a single year receiving 13. We shall see if she walks away with all 13 Moon Man Statues.
Also appearing at the awards show........remember this guy?
"Kanye West, whose interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the last MTV Video Music Awards became one of the year’s most-buzzed about pop cultural moments, will return as a performer for the 2010 ceremony.
No word whether or not Kanye is there to seek forgiveness or just to party with a bottle of Hennessy."

@ 10:14 here-- Similar to strip poker with the following modifications-- A player who cannot score higher than the previous player must remove an article of clothing. - If a player 'challenges' a word and wins, he can put an article of clothing back on; if he loses, he must remove an article of clothing. - The winner may make any one request of the losing players. It is suggested that players agree on the definition of 'article of clothing' before play commences.

If Strip Monopoly is anything like REAL Monopoly, No one would end up naked because they'd constantly trade clothing, and the game would never end !

I come back from a two week vacation to see the words "Strip Monopoly".......and I get all excited. (needless to say, I feel a bit let down at this point.)
