On Saturday night I went out to dinner. Allow me to describe the very odd location of the restaurant. It was smack dab in the middle of a funeral home to the left and to the right a Solicitor’s office specializing in Wills. Across the street was an organic meat shop and beside it, an insurance company. Normally I would hesitate dining at a restaurant whose neighbors sell coffins but we had been invited by friends to dine with them.
Judging from the lively chatter and the look on everyones' faces, all including myself were having a grand time! The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Chef Ramsay would be proud.
Despite it’s location the eatery was packed. I guess it’s true what they say: LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
Now that Thanksgiving is over the Harvest decorations have come down and in their place Halloween ones have gone up including the traditional Jack O’Lantern. We have an enormous lighted plastic orange pumpkin that sits in the center of the front yard. As soon as the sun sets Mr. Jack glows brightly.
Today is the 13th day of October. Many consider the number 13 to be a lucky one. With only 18 days remaining Halloween is practically around the corner.

"Brain Hemorrhage"
"Brain Hemorrhage"
"Never has a shot so fully lived up to its name! Brain hemorrhage seriously looks exactly like someone's brain exploded and landed in your shot glass. If you can get past the initial sight of it, you'll find that it's pretty tasty too. This is the perfect drink for anyone who loves Halloween! All that said, this drink is not for the faint hearted. That beige blob that looks like it could be solid mass might not be brain tissue, but it is pretty chunky. This isn't one to sip on - it's better to get it down all in one shot!"
INGREDIENTS:
*1/2 – 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps
*1-2 Tbsp. of Baileys on top
*1 tsp Cherry Grenadine
*1-2 Tbsp. of Baileys on top
*1 tsp Cherry Grenadine
PREPARATION:
1. Start with a shot glass and pour 3/4 oz of Peach Schnapps for the bottom layer.
2. Carefully pour 1/2 of Irish Cream over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the schnapps. Easy does it - as the Irish Cream comes in contact with the Peach Schnapps, it will start to look a little stringy.
3. Finally, slowly drizzle 1/2 oz of Grenadine over the schnapps - this is the trick that makes this shot extra stringy and gives this drink its signature look.
NOTE: The less Baileys and Grenadine used means less hemorrhaging. So be careful, those curdles might be a hurdle to get by. The shot should look like a brain floating in formaldehyde with a drop of blood at the bottom. It should look pretty gross but the taste is to die for.

CP, first off, let me apologize for my time away. Just too much going on, so blogging had to sit on the back-burner for a few weeks.
So now I'm trying to rebound and catch-up. I'm lovnig your new layout. Very cool and eye-catching.
And we need to catch up on some movies too. I saw "The Town" and loved it. And I was also lucky enough to see "Catfish" too this week - it's hard to find because it's still on limited release. But it was very much worth the wait.

I haven't seen either film but I've been hearing a lot of good things about both. I'm looking forward to the new Harry Potter film: The Deathly Hallows: Part 1. I finally finished the book!
