Cocaine Princess here.
Happy Monday morning. I do trust all my loyal and dear readers had an enjoyable weekend. I always love Mondays because it's the start of a brand new week and I look forward in seeing what new and exciting things the week will have in store for me.
With only 6 days left we're getting so close to things that go bump in the night.
My lovelies, I present to you Day #25 Halloween themed drinkie:
Monday October 25th, 2010,
"Popularized by the British Navy during their trips to Bermuda, the Dark and Stormy Night is a stiff drink that is worthy of being the opening line of a novel. "It was a dark and stormy night," wrote Edward George Bulwer-Lytton in his 19th century novel, "Paul Clifford." The ‘Dark’ naturally refers to the hue of the rum used and the ‘Stormy’ describes the bubbly tempest of the ginger beer. The ginger beer has a much, much stronger kick than ginger ale, and it’s that powerful ginger bite that the sweetness of the rum evens out. The Dark and Stormy is more like a stout. Darker. Heartier. Tastier. Cheers!"
INGREDIENTS:
* 2 oz. Dark RumINGREDIENTS:
*1 bottle of Ginger Beer
*½ Shot Of Lime Juice or Fresh Lime
*Ice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Pour the rum into a highball glass nearly filled with ice.
2. Add the ginger beer, stir and pour in shot of Lime Juice or squeeze in the juice of one lime wedge.
3. Serve and enjoy.
