The Calm After The Storm: Round 2

 Cocaine Princess here.

Just when I think it's over, just when I finally see some light at the end of the tunnel and am hopeful spring is set to arrive such as feeling the mild weather on my skin, not seeing my breath when I talk and hearing the sweet sounds of birds chirping in the early morning, Mother Nature decides to re-enter back into the picture by hitting us with another winter storm.

Word came down on Tuesday morning that another storm was heading to our region late in the evening. 15-20cm of snow was expected to fall and my God it did. At times I wonder if Mother Nature is trying to wipe out our entire population by burying us deep in snow. I can see the headline now while floating around in the afterlife. "Entire Population Wiped Out By Winter Storm," or perhaps she's trying to drive us all insane. If that's the case she's succeeding.

Words can't even begin to describe how much I hate winter.

I hate waiting for the roads, driveway, walkway and sidewalks to be cleared.

I hate having to wear heavy clothes, overcoats and putting on boots-- the other day I swear I heard my pedicured toes screaming for freedom.

I hate being cooped up inside whenever a storm hits.

I was hoping Mother Nature would change her mind by not unleashing the Snow Gods and although it wasn't as severe as the last storm plenty of snow was dumped. There's so much of it piled around I'm not too sure if it's ever going to melt.

Here are some pictures I took:

The weight of the snow destroyed another one of our shrubs.

One of our taller shrubs in the backyard split completely in half. This now brings the grand total of shrubs destroyed to 3.

I snapped this shot from the window, it's one corner of our backyard. The statues of the 3 Angels are able to withstand any kind of weather elements and so far they've been holding up quite well.

This picture is from the front yard.

To all the dear shrubs that were killed by Mother Nature, a proper send off will be held in your honor during the spring thaw....until then I will keep my tears silent.

Spring can't come fast enough for me. I'm so over winter.

 ****

My loyal and dear readers, it's finally F-R-I-D-A-Y and a brand new spanking month is here.

Whatever your plans are have a wonderful first weekend of March. ~x

XOXOXOXO,

Snow... I would love some snow before this winter passes. Some has possibly been forecast for tomorrow...

That would be fun!

That one photo reminds me of 'The Shining!'

I hope Danny isn't staying with you!!

Shoes at 12:17,

If there was someway for me to send all this snow to you guys down south believe me I would.

The Shining-- every time I get a case of cabin fever that movie comes to mind.

Snow is beautiful unless u have ice to go with it then it is bad cuz "I HAVE TO DRIVE IN IT".

And I love sweaters, scarves and mittens. The colors and softness of them make me happy, happy, happy.

However, I do love FALL the most. Crisp weather, beautiful fall leaves, and slightly windy. The pup loves it too.

Well, I have a busy day ahead of me.

Murder, murder, murder--

So I am busy busy busy.

Take care my luv. Happy March to u.

Murder?

A murder has occurred in our lovely city.

Imagine that. We are in the top 10 most dangerous and violent cities to live in.

There is always "pressure and stress" to solve it immediately.

Nothing worse than stepping in a slush puddle in the morning, soaking your shoe and sock and effectively ruining your whole day in a single instant.
