Cocaine Princess here.
Oh my God what a busy week this has been and on top of everything else the week ends on a Friday the 13th.
Is there really danger lurking on this day? Is the day really unlucky? Or is it all in our heads? Whatever the reason the fear of the 13th is the most widespread superstition. Hotels and hospitals often skip the 13th floor, and even airports quietly omit gate 13 sometimes. The fear of Friday the 13th has been called friggatriskaidekaphobia. Frigga being the name of the Norse goddess for whom "Friday" is named in English and triskaidekaphobia meaning fear of the number thirteen.
By the way, did you know, Jason Voorhees is a name with 13 letters in it?

Last week I posted about New York Fashion Week. There were 2 shows I was really excited about.
Tommy Hilfiger
The venue was held in a hangar~space on the West Side filled with sand and a man made boardwalk for the surf-inspired styles. There were no celebrities at the show. Mr. Hilfiger follows the lead of Oscar de la Renta, who limited his guest list, telling reporters he was focusing on the people who had a real reason to be there, not '20 million people with zero connection to the clothes.''I don't like the drama in the fashion world. I like to do our thing without the drama,' he said backstage before his show. Instead, the front row was largely boldface editors, stylists and of course members of the Hilfiger family.
The theme for his collection was "California cool attitude" and I was interested in seeing what his interpretation of that was. 'It's really from the inspiration of Melrose to Malibu, and we brought Malibu to New York,' he said. 'It's about surfing and skating, sporty lifestyles, about color and the modern cool woman.'

Victoria Beckham
The former Spice Girl's collection was filled with sheer floaty tops. Black and white designs featured heavily in the collection. White was a popular color in the collection as was flashes of color.

Victoria's collection gathered high praise from critics but
there was one special person in attendance who stole the show. Little
Miss Harper Seven Beckham who was sitting in the front row on her
daddy's lap.

New York Fashion Week is over and starting today it's officially Fashion Week in London.

I read this article the other day and thought the headline was a joke: "Feral pig drinks 18 cans of beer, fights cow and then passes out drunk under tree." It turns out it really did happen. Click here for the article.

Yes, those models look very cool, especially the one with the partially exposed navel. Victoria Spice's models look as if they're wearing black frocks with white petticoats underneath. Wasn't showing a bit of petticoat a way of teasing men in the 19th century?
Gorilla Bananas at 6:44,
I think you're right.
I ain't skeert of Friday the 13th... or Jason Voorhees...
Or mean wimins... (well, not exactly true...)
I wonder if runway models qualify as mean wimins??
I hope you had a great weekend, Princess!!!

Red Shoes at 9:45,
So far it's been an great one, thank you. How's yours?
Hey, Princess... I made it through the weekend just fine... a colleague at work and I drove over to Oxford, MS to see a musician that he likes.
Other than that, it was very uneventful!
