Cocaine Princess here.
As most of you are aware I have trouble sleeping. I don't sleep for more than 3-4 hours a night and for the life of me I don't know why that is. I've given up on my pleas to the Sandman for a peaceful night's rest. Usually I'll either just lay in bed listening to music or I'll watch some TV in hopes that I fall asleep. The only problem on getting by with a few hours of sleep a night is having to push your way through the day in order to function because you're so tired. Some days are okay while others are just too much that it's a struggle to keep my eyes open, so for the past couple of months I've been relying on a little something to keep me alert.
This stuff right here:
What?! Did you think I was going to say something else?
Although I was aware of the dangers surrounding "energy drinks" I was drinking at least 2 a day and oh yeah, there was that one day back in January when I had 3. I must admit they really got me through some tough days but when sister saw me chugging one back with a granola bar in one hand she warned me that I might have an addiction problem. And you know what, she was right. I found myself grabbing a drink even when I didn't need that little boost.
I haven't had a drop of the stuff since Tuesday and since then I've had the worst pounding headache on the planet. Hmm, perhaps it was a bad idea to quit cold turkey?

Unless you've been living under a rock, the Winter Olympics have begun. The Canadian womens' hockey team defeated Team USA capturing the Gold Medal. It was one hell of a game too. Team USA was leading 2-0, with 6 minutes left in the last period Team Canada scored 2 goals tying the game. We scored another goal in overtime proving once again Hockey Belongs to Canada.
Yesterday it was women's hockey, today the men's team play: Team Canada VS. Team USA. GO-CANADA-GO.

My loyal and dear readers, it's finally Friday.
Whatever your plans are have an amazing weekend. ~x

Why don't you have an afternoon nap, Miss Princess? That's much better for you than taking artificial stimulants. The only ice hockey player I know about is Happy Gilmore!
I find myself getting headaches without my caffine too. I can get it in coffee, tea or diet coke though, my system doesn't care.
Maybe those drinks keep you up though?
Keep fighting that urge for the energy drinks. They got some scary chemicals in there.
Hope Canada gets whipped by my Swedish buddies in the gold medal game. The Swedes got three Blackhawks on the team.
