Cocaine Princess here.
Ahh........after 6 looooong months of terrible weather spring has finally sprung for us up here. Hallelujah! The snow has melted and the grass has made an appearance and although it might be all muddy and murky it's a welcome sight. The birdies are chirping melodic melodies as early as 5am and the Canadian Geese have made their way back home. But then again I don't think they ever left.
It no longer becomes pitch black by 4:30pm and there's no longer the risk of your face, ears, nose and eyelashes cracking and falling off upon stepping outside. Best of all there's no longer the need to wear multiple layers of clothing resulting in not being able to put your arms down when you put on your coat. Actually, I take that back. You know what the best part is? Everyone's' mood has changed dramatically, for the better that is. Emotionally and physically we're all feeling back to ourselves. Ahh...... It feels good.
Unfortunately the same can't be said for the folks in Newfoundland. This past week Mother Nature unleashed one hell of a beast on them by dumping a record 40 centimeters of snow over 2 days. Check out the video of a Newfoundland man stuck in snow that's becomes a YouTube hit worldwide.

Jumpin' Jesus, that's a lot of damn snow! It's still cold and rainy out here in Chicago. I'm ready for summer and sand and volleyball and ladies in bikinis and drinking and throwing up.
Congratulations, Miss Princess! Did all your snow melt in one week - or was it less than a week? The folks at Newfoundland will have to wait a few days more.
Hi there, Princess...
Just when we think we have left the cold weather behind, we get a brisk front to move through our area... mostly, we've been dealing with really bad thunderstorms and tornadoes...
I hope all is well with and for you!
Always...
