Captain Jack Sparrow and The Great Pumpkin....

Cocaine Princess here wishing you all a devilish and horrifying Halloween!!!!!!

I just love Halloween! Aside from Christmas it's one of my most favorite holidays. St. Valentine's Day and Carnival tie for second. I think one of the reasons I love Halloween so much is the ability to express your creativity and to scare yourself silly. And of course the chocolates, my one day to indulge and not feel guilty. I was looking out the window early this morning and watching all the little kids heading off to school in their costumes. I counted at least 22 Captain Jack Sparrows which seems to be a popular choice of costumes for the boys. The kids will usually start ringing the doorbell at around 5:30pm and I'll be waiting. While getting myself ready, on TV It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! was playing. I make it a point to watch that and Garfield's Halloween Special every year.
As I predicted the doorbell started ringing at 5:30 and the kids were so adorable and cute in their costumes. So many Capt. Jack Sparrows, witches, princesses, angels and devils, ninjas and one was even dressed as Premier Dalton McGinely. Close to 300 kids showed up. There's about 75 mini chocolates left over. Every time I go into the kitchen I grab one, okay I lied. I grab three! I told 'A' to move the bowl into the cupboard. I was going to go out to a party nearby but then I decided to stay in and help out 'A.' All month long she's been doing Halloween activities for her class of 5 and 6 year olds and I think she was all Halloween' ed out. I didn't mind helping her. I didn't wear a costume so instead I got all dressed up and received a lot of nice compliments from parents who wanted to take my picture with their children. I of course said yes, how could I refuse?
Later in the evening Valentina called me. She said her daddy was still concerned about the threat. I told her to tell him not to worry. But that wasn't the real reason she called. She wanted to know why I was avoiding Senor Bling's telephone calls? So I told her the reason.

XOXOXOXO,
Cocaine Princess
