"Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful." ~Plato
Cocaine Princess here.
30 years ago today ZZ Top released their album "Eliminator." I love 80s music, I have my amazing mom to thank for that.
Keep on rocking Billy, Frank and Dusty!
Click here for the "Top 10 ZZ Top Songs." So, my loyal and dear readers, what's your favorite ZZ Top song?
PS: Does anyone else think that Billy Gibbons and Phil Robertson from "Duck Dynasty" might be the same person?
XOXOXOXO,

Red Shoes at 12:45/50am,
Yes, my mom was the ultimate cool! (Thank you for the kind words about her)
The other day I saw an ad on TV for "Jurassic Park." It's being re-released in movie theaters in Imax for its 20th anniversary. Sheesh, I can't believe it's been 20 years since that film first came out!
Good Sunday morning...
We've exchanged thoughts about our Moms... I haven't forgotten how special your Mom is to you... and how special she remains in your heart.
So, of course there were kind words about your Mom!!
:o)

Good Morning Shoes,
Thank you once more.
I also know from your entries dedicated to your mom how special and loving she was too.
U look beautiful as usual. I love that pink dress on u. Definitely, a great color and fabulous dress.
Music--says what we can't say ourselves sometimes. At least for me, songs speak for me sometimes when I don't have the words.
I always love the fact that u love ur mom so much and she took care of u. She sounds like an amazing woman. Unfortunately, for me my mom was not able to take care of me. I tell my closest friends I'm an emotional orphan. But I love my mom. She had a rough childhood. And just couldn't take care of me. I forgave her because her no one loved her. Including my father unfortunately. He was unable to express love for her too. So she left him and me. I suppose that's why I am a mommie to everyone that seems to be unloved and not cared for.
Miss Stormy Marples at 1:56,
Thank you so much for the kind compliment.
I totally agree with statement about music.
I have "Tres Hombres" on vinyl. I recommend it. They didn't have the beards back then, but it's a perfect blues/rock album.
