The final Men's Hockey Game for the Olympic Gold Medal took place today. It was Team Canada versus Team Sweden.
The game took place at The Bolshoy Ice Dome in Russia (7am Toronto time). City council allowed bars to serve alcohol in the morning just so fans could watch the game on big-screen TVs while chugging back a cold one and doing shots. Line ups began as early as 5am. Because of the time difference on the West Coast many bars remained open all night and didn't even have a chance to close. Click here for coverage of fans across Canada drinking and watching the game in the wee hours of the morning.
So, who won? Team Canada of course!
Final Score: 3-0. Jonathan Toews scored the first goal. Sidney Crosby aka Sid The Kid scored the second goal and the third goal was from Chris Kunitz.
Was there really any doubt we wouldn't win? In total we've won 20 Olympic Medals in hockey, (13 Gold) more than any other country.
Sorry Team Sweden but....
"Hockey is our sport. Our nation. Our gold."
Congratulations Team Canada on your second consecutive Gold Medal Win.
