London Fashion Week: Final Day

Cocaine Princess here.

Today was the final day for "London Fashion Week." Designers Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff aka Meadham Kirchhoff presented their collection for Autumn~Winter 2013~14, The pieces were described as being The Turn of the Screw,” “Fanny and Alexander."  But the clothes said otherwise, Edwardian with a grotesque and romantic twist.

The clothes were mostly black and white. The 1st outfit to open up the show was a sailor skirt suit adorned with shiny black panels.

Black velvet dresses were worn with long, starkly white lace collars. Veils and tiaras lent an element of fantasy and surrealism to outfits.

Romantic A-line dresses and coats dominated the catwalk; in one, a long transparent maid’s dress was worn – BY A BOY – with black flared trousers and silver brogues.

More fantasy and surrealism to outfits.

With the exception of the Burberry Show I haven't been impressed with the collections that New York and London showcased. Tomorrow "Milan Fashion Week" begins. Let's see how the Italians do. I'm particularly looking forward to Roberto Cavalli, one of my fave designers.

Tomorrow, Day 1 of Milan Fashion Week!

XOXOXOXO,
Cocaine Princess
